Shri Ballaleshwar temple is one of the eight temples of Lord Ganesha. Among Ganesha temples, Ballaleshwar is the only incarnation of Ganesha that is known by his devotee’s name. It is located in the village of Pali which is at a distance of 30 km from Karjat in the Raigad district, Maharashtra.
It is situated between fort Sarasgad and the river Amba.

How to reach

One can reach the temple via State public transport buses starting from Mumbai, Pune, Karjat, Khopoli & Panvel. The nearest railway station to Pali is Nagothane, which is approx 13 kms from the temple.

Travel tip
For travellers from Mumbai/Thane/Kalyan, Nagothane is the closest Railway Station at 13 km away from Pali. Catch any early morning Konkan trains (Madagaon or Diva passenger) and get down at Nagathone. Take local auto -rickshaw to reach Pali. After Balleshwar’s darshan, you can proceed to Mahad for Varad Vinayak temple via State public transport buses starting from Pali.
