Varadvinayak, also spelt as Varadavinayaka, is one of the Ashtavinayak temples of the Hindu deity Ganesha. It is located in Madh (Mahad) village situated in Khalapur taluka near Karjat and Khopoli of Raigad District, Maharashtra, India.

How to Reach
Shri Varad Vinayak Temple at Mahad is 63 kms from Mumbai, 85 kms from Pune, 25 kms from Karjat,21 kms from Lonavala and 6 kms from Khopoli. The temple is 1.5 kms off the Mumbai – Pune old Highway. Mahad Bus Station, operated by Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), connects the place with other major towns such as Khopoli, Mahabaleshwar, Karjat, Alibag, and Shivthar Ghal. Mahad can also be reached via Mumbai – Panvel – Khopoli road. Khopoli/Karjat Railway Station on cental railway line is the nearest railway station for Varad Vinayak Temple at Mahad.
Travel tip
For travellers from Mumbai/Thane/Kalyan, Nagothane is the closest Railway Station at 13 km away from Pali. Catch any early morning Konkan trains (Madgaon or Diva passenger) and get down at Nagathone. Take a local Auto-rickshaw to reach Pali. After Balleshwar’s darshan, you can proceed to Mahad for Varad Vinayak temple via State public transport buses starting from Pali.
