The Women’s Day Special events are most awaited celebrations across corporates in India. These are women centric celebrations arranged by HR department pre and post of the International Women’s Day which is celebrated on 8th FebruaryΒ of every year. The events are arranged for 3-4 days. Some corporates make it a week-long celebration by announcing some theme for each day.

The celebration includes Talk by Celebrities, Shopping Melas, In-house Food Melas, Contests, etc. The HR department ensures that there is a maximum participation from women for these events. Sometimes men are also invited in these celebrations πŸ™‚

This year in my office, an interesting event was organised which involved Cooking Without Fire. Employees were informed to form team of three with atleast one male colleague. There were lot of participants from various departments. I too participated with my colleagues, Anjali Mehta and Neeket Agarwal.

It was interesting to participate, watch and capture moments of males collaborating with female colleagues in making various dishes such as cheese sandwiches, fruit/vegetables salads, various chaats, sweet ladoos, fruit juices and smoothies. The event was a great success.

Here are some mouth-watering dishes captured by me during the event. There were some recipes with recipe name. And some were kept without the recipe names, may be for judges to guess πŸ™‚ Well, I have don’t have recipes of these dishes apart from one we prepared. These photos are just for visual treat πŸ™‚ So enjoy the pics and guess the ingredients πŸ™‚

Our dish – prepared by Anjali, Neeket and Myself

  6. Nicely arranged and great colors πŸ™‚

  7. That is a wonderful idea. Cooking without fire! Of course, always knew several dishes don’t need to be cooked or fried but it is definitely interesting to get all people to try their hand at it. Those images of the dishes make my mouth water. The sandwiches remind me of the ones you get in flights except that the ones in the images look a lot more healthy.
