Parel Terminus to start operations from today

New local trains will be starting from and terminating at Parel Terminus today onwards. A big relief for Mumbaikars commuting by local trains to work in Parel, Elphinstone and Worli area.

According to the press release by Central Railway, the sixteen pairs of existing Dadar terminating/originating slow locals will be extended to and from Parel with effect from 04-03-2019.

Great efforts taken by Central Railway to complete this project on fast track and reduce the existing load of Dadar Station.

Here are some photos captured by me before the inaugural session.

Mumbai is in ever need of additional lines of support for commuting to the suburbs. Good to know that Parel terminus is added to the expanding list of the terminal stations.
