Shri Siddhivinayak Temple – Jaysingpur

During my last visit to Kolhapur along with my family, we had visited Shri Kshetra Narsinhwadi which is also known Narsobachiwadi. While coming back from Narsobachiwadi on the Shirol Kolhapur bypass road, we found this new Shri Siddhivinayak Temple located at Jaysingpur in the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra.

The architecture of temple is different from other temples found across
Maharashtra. This temple was built using stones, bricks and limestone power. It was interesting to know that there is no use of iron rods and cement in any part of the temple.

The main entrance of the temple is built in such a way that, the sun-rays falls on Ganesha’s idol on the day of Gudi Padwa. The premise inside temple has been painted with the theme of sky. There is a beautiful garden outside the temple.

This temple was built by Shri Siddhivinayak Trust of Jaysingpur. It was made open for public on 28th December 2012. The trust is also in process of building ‘Bhakt Niwas’ near the temple for short stays of bhakt/devotee visiting this temple.

It’s a unique temple and a must see one. If you are in Kolhapur, then do visit this temple.
