Every year in the month December, Lord Ayyappa Mahotsavam is
celebrated for two days in Radhanagar area of Kalyan West. The Ayyappa
Seva Sangham of Radhanagar manages this Mahotsavam. On the second day, the celebration concludes with the procession of Lord Ayyappa on a decorated golden chariot. I have been observing this procession every year.
This year too, I witnessed the grand procession of Lord Ayyappa. The Lord was carried on the golden chariot along with drummers, traditional dancers, women carrying diya thalis and men supporting the entire procession. It was a spectacular celebration with bright lights.
